Terms, privacy & disclaimer
Last updated: 8/2/2026
1. Nature of the service
SAFEDIVING is a private record-keeping tool for scuba divers. It allows users to log dives, upload proof of certifications, and document near-miss and decompression-sickness (DCS) incidents together with photo, medical and administrative evidence. SAFEDIVING is not a dive operator, training agency, insurer, or medical service.
2. Honesty and anti-defamation policy
Users agree to enter only truthful, factual, first-handinformation. Incident and dive records are private to the account that created them and to any dive shop or account the user explicitly authorises. SAFEDIVING does not publish, endorse, moderate or verify claims about named dive operators, guides, shops or certifying agencies. Any content that is knowingly false, malicious, or intended to defame a third party is a violation of these terms and may result in account termination and removal of the record. Nothing on SAFEDIVING should be treated as an official complaint, legal accusation, or public review.
3. Not medical or safety advice
SAFEDIVING does not provide medical, safety, training or emergency advice. Calculators (e.g. MOD, oxygen exposure) are for informational purposes only — always cross-check with your training, your dive computer, and your dive plan. In case of a diving accident, contact local emergency services and a diver alert network (e.g. DAN) immediately.
4. Privacy
Account data (email, profile, certifications, dives, incidents, uploaded files) is stored securely and accessible only to the account owner and to accounts they explicitly authorise. Dive shop accounts can access diver profiles and reports for safety follow-up; this is by design and disclosed at sign-up. We do not sell personal data. Deletion of your account removes your records from active systems.
5. Uploads and evidence
You are responsible for the content you upload. Do not upload material you do not own or do not have permission to store. Medical reports, police reports and photographs may contain sensitive personal data — handle them accordingly.
6. Insurance disclaimer
SAFEDIVING may point users to third-party dive-insurance providers such as DAN World or DAN Europe as an informational courtesy. SAFEDIVING is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a broker for any insurance provider.
7. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, SAFEDIVING and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or reliance on, the service, its calculators, or any user-submitted content.
8. Copyright
© 2026 SAFEDIVING. All rights reserved. The SAFEDIVING name and interface are protected. Users retain ownership of the records and files they upload.
9. Changes
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the service or applicable law. Continued use of SAFEDIVING after an update constitutes acceptance.
